Humanis Assurances

About the client

Humanis Assurances is an insurance and reinsurance brokerage on Rue Joffre in Akwa, Douala. Its promise is in its slogan, “Nous accompagnons les entreprises et les particuliers”: it advises companies and individuals from the first analysis of their needs to the follow-up of their contracts. The identity had to express four values the company chose for itself: humane, ambitious, innovative and supportive.

What I designed

• The logomark and the “Humanis Assurances” logotype, with a construction grid
• A stacked version and an app icon
• The colour palette and the typeface (Meta Pro)
• A brand pattern made from the logo’s smile
• Applications: building signage, stationery (letterhead, envelopes, business cards), a street poster, badges and a wall plaque

The design choices

Insurance is usually sold with shields and umbrellas. I chose a smile instead: the logomark is a rounded blue square with a simple curved line and a small mark that together read as a friendly face. It says that the relationship with the client matters as much as the contract, which is exactly what “Humanis” promises.

Blue brings trust and seriousness, teal green brings warmth and growth, and the two are split across the name: “Humanis” in bold blue, “Assurances” in a lighter green. Repeated in rows, the smile becomes a pattern that brings the brand into documents and backgrounds without crowding them.

Where it works

The identity now runs on the branch façade in Akwa, on the company’s documents and across its communication. I later designed its company brochure and, since March 2026, I have handled its social media.
