Humanis Assurances
Humanis Assurances is a Cameroonian insurance brokerage covering risk management and international insurance programmes for companies and individuals.
I designed the company brochure — the printed piece the brokers hand to a prospective client. It opens on the branch itself rather than stock imagery, then works through the offer in clean blue-and-green spreads that match the signage on the building.
About the client
Humanis Assurances is an insurance and reinsurance brokerage in Akwa, Douala, offering insurance brokerage, risk management and the management of international insurance programmes for companies and individuals. Its brokers needed a printed document they could hand to a prospective client, one that explains in a few minutes who the company is and why a client can trust it.
What I designed
- A 12-page A4 company brochure
- A cover built on a photo of the actual branch, with the three core services
- A contents page, then “Who we are”, values, missions and expertise
- The team, the CEO profile, risk management and the product range
- A client-references page with the logos of companies the broker works with
- A contact page
The design choices
The brochure opens on the branch itself, not on stock imagery, because for a broker the first proof of seriousness is a real office with its name on the door. The blue and green of the brand identity I created carry through every page, with a curved band at the top and bottom that echoes the smile of the logo.
Each page answers one question and uses one device. The four missions are numbered tags, the values are icons, the five areas of expertise are large numerals, and the references are a clean grid of logos. A prospect can skim the brochure in a meeting and still come away with the essentials, while a careful reader finds the full text of each section.
Where it works
It is the piece the brokers hand to a prospective company, and the same file works as a PDF sent after a first call. The same visual system runs through the social media posts I publish for the company.
