Shanghai Ssípín — Website

Shanghai Ssípín Business Consulting Co. Ltd is a sourcing and supply chain firm based in Shanghai, with a branch in Jinhua–Yiwu and offices in Yaoundé, Douala and Brazzaville. It helps importers in Africa, North America and Europe buy from Chinese suppliers, then ship, pay and travel to China without getting lost.

After designing the company’s identity, I designed and built its bilingual website, in French and English, around the questions an importer asks before buying in China: who will find the right supplier, how the goods will travel, how to pay a Chinese invoice, and how to get a quote quickly.

The brief

Shanghai Ssípín already had its brand identity and needed a website that put the same face on a long list of services: sourcing, factory visits, order inspection, logistics, payments, company and trademark registration, visa invitation letters, travel bookings, translation and support for students. Its visitors are importers and entrepreneurs who want to buy in China, many of them in French-speaking Central Africa, others writing in English, so the site had to work in both languages and lead to a quote from every page.

What I built

  • The design and build of a bilingual website, French and English, with a language switch in the menu
  • A home page that walks through the whole offer: four key services, the company, the purchasing centre, the sourcing steps, logistics, door-to-door destinations, payment support and the offices
  • A Purchasing Centre page with nine product sectors and the seven-step buying process
  • A Logistics page covering air, sea (FCL and LCL), RoRo, road and rail, with transit times and delivery destinations
  • A Services page and eleven dedicated service pages, from factory visits to student support
  • About and Contact pages, with phone, WhatsApp, email and office hours in China time

The design choices

The site takes the blue of the logo for buttons, links and icons, and a deep navy for the top bar and key figures, so it reads as one brand with the identity. The company name appears in Chinese characters and in Latin script at the top of the home page, as it does on the logo, which tells both Chinese partners and African clients who they are dealing with.

Photos of the team in hard hats, of warehouses, containers, trucks and machinery carry the pages and show the physical side of the job. Long processes are broken into numbered steps, and sectors, transit times and destinations are shown as small tags, so a visitor can scan a dense offer in a few seconds.

How it works for visitors

A “Request a quote” button stays in the header on every page, and a top bar gives the Shanghai location, the office hours in China time, the phone number and the email. On the purchasing centre, visitors jump straight to their sector and can send a product list. The logistics page tells them how long each mode takes and whether door-to-door delivery reaches their city, from Douala and Libreville to Abidjan, Lagos and Nairobi. Each service has its own page with its own call to action, and the Cameroon number opens directly in WhatsApp.

The site is live at shanghaissípín.com, in French and in English.
