Vestiaire 237

Vestiaire 237 is an online football shirt store delivering Premier League, La Liga and national team jerseys to Douala, Yaoundé and all of Cameroon.

I designed and built the complete store: a catalogue filtered by league and sorted by price, product pages with size selection and a live preview of the name and number printing, a shopping cart, and a checkout adapted to local habits, with Orange Money, MTN MoMo or cash on delivery and the order summary sent via WhatsApp.

The brief

An online football shirt store based in Douala, selling Premier League, La Liga and national team jerseys, including the Indomitable Lions, with delivery within 24 hours in Douala and Yaoundé and 48 to 72 hours elsewhere in Cameroon. Its customers shop on their phones and many prefer to pay with mobile money or on delivery. The store had to feel as easy as ordering through WhatsApp, with the reassurance of a real shop.

What I built

  • A home page with the store’s promises: 24-hour delivery, mobile payment, custom printing, free size exchange
  • A catalogue filtered by league, kit (home, away, third) and budget, and sorted by price or popularity
  • Product pages with size selection and a live preview of the name and number printing (3,000 FCFA)
  • A shopping cart and a checkout adapted to local habits: Orange Money, MTN MoMo or cash on delivery, with the order summary sent via WhatsApp
  • A size guide on each product page, and an “About & contact” page with the store’s story and an FAQ

The design choices

The look borrows from the stadium: a deep football-pitch green, a bright yellow for the buttons and the prices, and a bold condensed type like the lettering on a shirt. Many product photos show people wearing the jerseys rather than flat packshots, so a customer can imagine the fit.

The most useful detail is the printing preview: on the product page, the customer types a name and a number and sees them appear on a small shirt next to the field, before adding it to the cart. A banner at the top of every page repeats the free-delivery threshold and the payment options, which answers the two questions every buyer asks first.

How it works for visitors

A customer picks a league, chooses a shirt and a size, adds printing if they want, then confirms the cart. The order summary is sent through WhatsApp, an adviser calls back to confirm the delivery slot, and the customer pays by mobile money or cash when the shirt arrives.
