Sanaga Bâtir
Sanaga Bâtir is a Cameroonian construction and civil engineering company working on buildings, roads, renovation and technical studies in Douala, Yaoundé and across the country.
I designed and built a website that gives the company the credibility its tenders require: its six business lines and four-step project process, a filterable portfolio of completed projects, animated key figures, its history and QHSE commitments, and a detailed free quote request form.
The brief
A Cameroonian construction and civil engineering company working on buildings, roads, bridges, renovation and technical studies, with offices in Douala, Yaoundé and Kribi. Its clients are the State, local councils, property developers and private owners, and most of its contracts come through tenders, where the first thing an evaluator checks is whether the company looks capable of delivering. The website had to show capacity and rigour, and make it easy to ask for a quote.
What I built
- A home page with animated key figures (years of experience, projects delivered, staff, regions covered) and the company’s guarantees
- A services page presenting its six business lines: buildings, civil engineering and structures, roads and utilities, renovation, studies and project management, equipment hire
- The four-step project process, from the study to the handover of the keys
- A filterable portfolio of completed projects, sorted by building, civil engineering, roads and renovation
- An About page with the company’s history and its QHSE commitments
- A detailed free quote request form
The design choices
Construction is heavy, so the design is too: a condensed, bold sans in capitals for the titles, a dark charcoal and orange palette taken from site machinery and safety vests, and full-width photos of real-looking worksites with workers in helmets. The figures are set very large, because in a tender a number says more than a paragraph.
The portfolio is built for evaluators. Each project card shows a photo, a category tag, the project name, its location, a key figure (number of units, span of the bridge, length of the road) and the year, and the filters let a visitor see only the type of work that matches their tender in one click.
How it works for visitors
A procurement officer can check the company’s capacity in under a minute on the home page, verify similar references in the portfolio, then request a quote from any page through the orange button in the header. Contact details and opening hours stay visible in the top bar of every page.
