Denis Mounet — Garde Espoir

“Garde Espoir” is a single by Denis Mounet.

I designed the cover art and the release package around it — the square artwork, a presentation mockup and the YouTube banner — so the single arrives with the same face on every platform it lands on.

About the client

Denis Mounet is an artist on E II Entertainment, and “Garde Espoir” (“Keep hope”) is one of his singles. The label wanted a release package that looked the same wherever the single appeared: in streaming apps, on a physical copy and on his YouTube channel.

What I designed

  • The square cover art
  • A presentation mockup of the physical release
  • A YouTube channel banner announcing that the single is available on streaming platforms
  • The “Denis Mounet” name treatment used on all three

The design choices

The cover is built around a portrait of the artist in a flowing orange robe and a woven straw hat, seated with a calabash beside a djembe, over a background of traditional patterns. The photo is treated with a warm, painterly finish so the whole image glows in terracotta and amber, the colours of the earth and of the instrument’s wood.

His name gets its own mark: the “D” of Denis is drawn as a microphone, a small detail that makes the name work as a logo across his releases. The title is set in a rough display letter that echoes the hand-made textures of the objects in the photo.

Where it works

The cover runs on streaming platforms, the mockup shows how the artwork translates to a printed release, and the YouTube banner extends the same photo to a very wide format, with the cover and the platform logos on the right, so fans recognise the single as soon as they land on his channel.
